By this point, you have done the basic checks and should be able to get the table running again if the problem is caused by some basic obstruction. Step 4: Consult Professional Mahjong Technician After years of usage, some parts of the table may be malfunctioning due to wear and tear, and a proper troubleshooting process by a professional is essential to clearly pinpoint the fault, so to prevent the same issue from occurring again. Just like its name suggests, darts is a game that involves throwing darts at the dartboard. This means that all you need to get started is yourself, a dartboard, some darts, and a steady hand to hit your mark.   Ok, so I've got all the essentials. Where do I go from there? If you've never played darts in your life, it's a good idea to get familiar with the different sections of the dartboard and playing area. As always, the bullseye gets you the most points![/caption]   Closely referenced as being similar to a pie, a dartboard is divided into 20 'slices' (segments). These segments are numbered from 1 to 20 and are further divided by rings that make the inner and outer sections of the dartboard as illustrated in the picture. For this, you'll need to stand an optimum distance from the dartboard. This is marked by the oche line (more commonly known as the throw line) with the arc beginning at about 180 degrees. The distance between your feet and the dartboard should be about 244cm. Any closer and it will make it too difficult for you to aim properly.   Rules of 501 & 301 Darts Just like any other game, dart players aim to achieve the highest score possible in the shortest amount of throws regardless of the ruleset. Before you start the game, the darts are divided into sets of two darts, and each set is played in turn with the darts alternating from one player to the other. Each game has a total of either 501 or 301 points, which is where the game gets its name from. Pretty straightforward, right? Now time to get to the details. Here is a basic breakdown of the rules: The player with the fewest points starts first in reaching their highest score for 501 darts (1 point per dart). Players must get exactly the number of points required (501 or 301). If your final shot puts you above the maximum number of points, it is considered a 'bust' and immediately ends your turn. You must wait for your opponent to be done with their shots before you can continue. While not common for all establishments, there are some that believe the first shot must land in the double section in the outer ring of the dartboard (called a doubling-in). Any shots before you make this particular shot will not be considered for points. Think of it as a minimum requirement! The last dart throw by the first person to reach the final score must land in either a double or a bullseye to not be a bust.  It is also important to remember that for both variations, each player is usually given a total of 3 darts per turn to collect points. Misses are also counted in these three throws, garnering you zero points. You will also not get points if your dart ends up 'sticking' to another dart nor get another try at the throw itself. The darts used should be heavy-duty darts and the board itself must not have any bounce or rubber on it. When throwing, you should use your dominant hand. Well, look no further, because I’ll be throwing out all the slang and jargon to give you the most basic guide on what you’ll need to know to start your pinball playing journey.    Understanding How They Work   Just like what Sharpe mentions in the video, mechanical pinball machines can seem particularly daunting toward potential new players, especially with all their ramps, sounds, and flashing lights. Fast from the get-go and without an easily accessible manual to actually tell you the tips and tricks, this actually causes a lot of newbies to shy away from trying their hand at pinball after the first few tries, especially in social settings like arcades and bars.  But despite the chaos that is presented on a pinball machine’s playfield, there is actually an order to the chaos rather than just being ‘pure, randomised luck’. Just like any other kind of sport or game, you can teach yourself how to control the game’s pacing. Similar to your own arms and legs, you should think of the pinball machine’s flippers as an extension of yourself. Rather than spamming the flippers to make sure that the ball doesn’t fall into the gutter, use the flippers to ‘capture’ the ball. This will enable you to slow down the game’s pace while allowing you to make more precise shots for where you would like the ball to go on the playfield. Once you’ve mastered how to use the flippers (or at least gotten a hang of them), you can then move on to the next step.   Mastering The Playfield Every game comes with a set of rules, and pinball is no different. But what makes it different from other sports or arcade games is the fact that these rules are usually specifically tied to the theme of the pinball machines themselves. As such, all pinball games are distinct and unique from one another due to these different rule sets.  Therefore, while it might be impossible to truly ‘master’ the pinball machine, learning the fundamental and most basic parts of the playfield is a great way to figure out most, if not all, pinball machines intuitively.   Slingshots: These are the side bumps just right above the flippers. As the edges are usually covered or made with an elastic material, they give the ball an extra bounce when it comes in contact with them.    Target banks: Usually one of the first things you’ll notice when playing, target banks are placed around the centre of the playfield and are usually ‘word’ targets on most modern pinball machines that are activated when your ball rolls over them. These targets are usually a way to earn extra points or trigger certain modes on the pinball machine that would not activate in any other situation.    Chutes: Like a trapdoor or secret access room, hitting your ball into a chute will usually take it and ‘transport’ it to a different area of the playfield. For more experienced players, you can use the chute to access different or difficult-to-reach areas of the playfield that cannot be accessed by normal means to score more points.    Jet bumpers: Hate em’ or love em’, hitting jet bumpers can help you score points will giving the ball more velocity as it bumps between them for a faster and potentially more chaotic gameplay experience.   Ramps: No pinball machine would be complete without ramps. They’re also a good way to earn some big points while directing the ball back to your flippers so that you can control your shots better. While this isn’t an active feature on the physical playfield, all pinball machines have different modes or objectives that are aligned with the machine’s theme. Whether they are general or secret modes, triggering and completing them can usually give you a big point boost. And if you’re skilled (or lucky!) enough, you should always try to trigger the multiball mode for maximum points!    Tips & Tricks To Sharpen Your Skills Once you’ve mastered all of the above, it’s time to learn what separates newbies from pros. Beer Pong is a popular drinking game that is simple to play, easy to learn, and entertaining for players and spectators alike. Usually a team "sport", the objective of the game is simple: eliminate the opposition's cups before they eliminate yours.   What You Need To Play A beer pong table or any ordinary table (at least 6FT) Cups arranged in a triangle (either 6 or 10 per team) Ping Pong balls Beer! Or any other drink chosen as a forfeit   Beer Pong Rules While there are no "official" rules for beer pong, these are some basic and commonly accepted rules used as a reference in a standard beer pong game. However, feel free to modify and tweak the rules as you play. As long as the rules are agreed on both sides, anything goes. Turns Decide which team goes first with a simple game (or ladies first). The turn switches whenever a shot is missed but whenever a team scores, they are given a "throwback", giving them a chance to shoot again. Shooting Teams stand at either end of the table and try to score into cups at the opposite end. Shots can be direct or bounced. Direct shots are indefensible while bounced shots can be blocked once it hits the table. If the ball is defended before it touches the table, the player is given 2 shots instead of 1. Re-Racking Teams can request a "re-rack" at the end of their turn in order to maintain a compact shape. Games are usually played with 1 or 2 re-racks agreed at the beginning. Re-racking can be done at any point of the game but is usually requested when the game is near its end when the cups are spaced out. Game Ending Situation The game is played until a team eliminates all the cups. The losing team then has to finish whatever remains on the table. Variants - The Men's Cave Edition The Men's Cave team enjoys the game of beer pong as well and we have our own variant of the game. Using the same basic rules, the twist is that the game ends once 3 of 10 cups are eliminated. However, eliminated cups are not placed at one side but are used to "defend" against incoming shots. If the cup used to defend is completely knocked off, it is repositioned.

It’s done typically along the wall that is nearest to you, and only on tables that utilize tournament bumpers. Keep your 3-men tight by the wall and tilt. When done right, the result is a trapped ball on your 3 bar. After executing "The Wall Brush," be prepared for follow-up shots from your opponent. It is often executed when the opposing defenders are tightly packed or when there's limited space for a powerful shot. More importantly, it is a useful offensive move that catches opponents off guard, especially when they least expect a soft and controlled shot. It’s a little push on the ball by the wide strikers, followed by a shot that’s designed to spray (angled) a little. The target is typically the near post gap, where defenders may occasionally leave out due to their focus being on the central striker. The dink is typically a secondary shot. P.S: After mastering both skills, The Dink Shot and The Push Kick, you can combine them together and perform a deadly combination shot to score. Stick passing is essential for team coordination and can be used in doubles foosball games too. This trick is similar to the Wall brush, but it requires you to fully utilize the 5-men bar. Maneuver the ball along the bar until you spot a lane in your opponent's five bar and pass the ball to your next lane quickly without being blocked. It's a great move to use and mix up with other tricks to achieve a desirable effect. In a way, it's also a strategic move. Consistent stick passing can frustrate your opponent, as it makes it harder for them to gain possession and disrupt your rhythm. The name "Pin Shot" comes from the way the ball is pinned between the front man's foot and the playing surface before it is propelled into the goal. This shot is extremely effective and is considered a high percentile shot on a Garlando table due to its immense versatility. By mastering this shot and combining it with other shooting techniques and strategic plays, you can become a more formidable player on the foosball table and improve your scoring opportunities. Origin of Billiard The origins of billiard can be traced back to as early as the 15th century, and it was mention that the game once was a lawn game similar to croquet but later evolve and move indoors on tables with green cloth and cue sticks. In history, the pool is known as the “Noble Game of Billiards” as it has records of royalty and other nobles playing it. However, in the modern days, Pool is known as Pocket Billiards in more formal term and is a type of Cue Sport and Games.   Type of Billiards Table There are a few common tables we will see when we in a pool centre, they are mainly Pocket billiards and Snookers. But Billiards come in 2 varieties: Pocket Billiards and Carom Billiards, and in sizes 6FT all the way to 12FT. In Carom Billiards a.k.a French carom billiards is a table where the pocket is not needed. The size of the table is 9.3 feet by 4.7 feet, and in the US it is 10 feet by 5 feet. In Pocket, Billiards has six pockets on the table, Four on each of the corners and two on the midway point of each side the long side of the table. Pocket Billiards has a significant size difference for both English and American tournament. The English table size used is 7 feet or 8 feet when it airs on television for the finals. The American table size used is 8 or 9 feet in size. The Snooker tables are larger than both of the billiard tables, but they are also lower in height and have smaller pockets. Snooker tables in Europe are 12 feet by six feet. Snooker tables in the U.S. are smaller, measuring 10 feet by five feet. Learn more about the space requirements of the a pool table here. What’s the difference between the 3 tables? The main difference is with the number of balls used in these 3 tables. For snooker, the number of balls used is 22 namely one of the following white, striker ball, brown, yellow, blue, pink, black, green and 15 red balls. For Carom billiards, the number of balls used is 3. White and yellow can act as the striker ball and lastly red ball. For Pocket Billiards, the games played with one cue ball and 15 object balls on a table. The number of balls used is 16, one white colour cue ball, seven solid number ball from 1-7, one solid black ball number 8, and seven striped number ball from 9-15.   Type of games 8 Ball(US) / Black Ball (UK) The objective of the Eight-ball is to pocket the balls all the seven solid or striped ball, and pocket the solid eight ball last. For the Black-ball, there is 7 of each yellow and red balls and one black ball. The player will have to pocket the coloured ball and the black ball last. If the cue ball fails to touch the cushion three times, it will be the end of turn for the player. The cue ball can be either both white and one of it has the spot on it or white and yellow. However, for the standard carom billiards, the objectives are more towards moving the object balls around the table with the cue ball in a particular fashion.
